Founded in 2015, Pizza Rita is a 1946 Chevrolet Rack Truck, outfitted with a Mugnaini Wood Fired Oven. Pizza Rita is able to bring you and your guests a unique wood fired pizzeria on wheels for your event. We offer the highest quality and most authentic Pizza Napoletana on Long Island.
Our dough is made with Caputo "00" Flour by hand and allowed to rise naturally. This creates our signature thin crust that is slightly charred, but soft and chewy with all the flavor of incredible bread. Our sauce starts with the finest imported San Marzano Tomatoes and is gently crushed by hand. Our mozzarella begins as cheese curd and is heated and hand stretched prior to the event, ensuring the freshest and creamiest mozzarella. Our toppings are sourced from local farms on the North Fork as well as from certified purveyors.
We offer not only Pizza Napoletana, but Italian desserts, entrees, salads, and coffee. We also offer a variety of packages to best suit your party’s needs. Events are based on a 50 person guest minimum for 2 hours. Packages are personally customized for each party. We arrive approximately 1-1.5 hours prior to the start of the event. During this time the Pizzaiolo will start a fire. Pizza Rita uses Oak hardwood for its unsurpassed heat output and distinct flavor. The fire is brought up to 900 degrees, enabling pizzas to cook in 60-90 seconds! Ingredients and paper goods are supplied by Pizza Rita as well as clean up at the conclusion of the party.
